Pyrrhus, King of Epirus
73rd great-grandfather
Pyrrhus was a cousin of Alexander the Great, but did not have the same luck on the battlefields. His greatest victory was a "pyrrhic victory" which forever won him a place in Western languages and thinking. He was a hostage of
Ptolemy I, who helped him return as king
of Epirus. |
